Project OverviewCurrently this system supports only chambers with C4 temperature controllers by "Sigma Systems" and HP53130 series frequency counters Q-Base project launched to develop convenient system for test and calibration of crystal oscillator performance over temperature. Revision 1.01 started to add compatibility with special programming functions such as programmable TCXO and DTCXO, system bandwidth improvement and create more user friendly interface. Some key additions will be reviewed at the topping of each section. Basic system map:
As shown on the map “System driver” with “Task-Manager” and Operator interface with Data-Base management has been separated as a two stand-alone applications. In two-PC configuration operator can browse Data-base, print reports or do some calibration without holding any hardware recourses of the System. All the communications between Operator PC and System can be requested via the LAN. System module and Operator interface can be installed in single PC configuration as well by indicating local root address for system module in configuration settings. Priority assignment in single-PC configuration: 1- System Monitor 2- Task Manager 3- Scheduled back-up 4- Operator Interface 5- Add-On modules
In version 1.01 operator interfaces has been reviewed to simplify loading / unloading procedures and bring familiar Explorer-like view.
* 2 preloaded Test types. (up-to 255) * VC-Sweep/pool over temperature test * 3 Predefined report formats * Automatic VCC current calculation * "Analyze All" feature * Drag and Drop feature for Units and Cards between chambers. * Database and Reports format compatible
System Limitations:
Recently I received many requests to provide additional features such as TCXO capacitor network calculation and calibration module for programmable VCTCXO by Micro Analog Systems. New Add-On Wizard feature in revision 1.01 will provide ability to plug-in optional software modules to existing Workbench Manager instead of purchasing new system. Optional TCXO Calculator and “MAS” Calibrator projects will be lunched with finalization of Q-Base program and will be available for purchase online as a stand-alone product. |
